Microstock Diaries is a blog I created to air my opinions and questions on the Microstock market. What's Microstock? It's a relatively new market where photos (also designs and videos) are traded with a non-exclusive (usually) royalty-free licence.Microstock Diaries is intended to become a reference of thoughts, observations, experiences and research of the microstock industry, in which we, through Challenging Tomorrow, both buy and sell images. To launch the blog I created a small collection of posts that I thought would be of particular interest to other people who sell microstock. From launch the plan is to keep posting similar articles to create value for readers, which in turn aids the revenue generation of the website. Who could have thought you could generate revenue by doing something fun? Microstock Diaries was also the first venture into the WordPress world. WordPress is a Content Managment System (CMS) designed specifically for blogs. To date all of our websites had been created with the Joomla! CMS, which is a more general purpase CMS. As with Joomla!, WordPress was very easy to setup and operate, and I found no shortage of resources and extensions available online. We've since updated our personal blogs to the WordPress platform, and will be using it for future projects. See Microstock Diares at www.microstockdiaries.com |
